A carbonèra in solidarity to help the Baldo-Garda non-profit association for cancer patients, which is based in Bardolino but which operates throughout the Garda area and its first hinterland and, in particular, also in Brenzone, where there is a group of friends - volunteers in the hamlet of Castelletto. A supportive smile together with the association Amici dell'ospedale di Malcesine and the Dirlindana Club, which is also based in the last town of Verona on the border with Trentino, has organized a double appointment for tomorrow in Malcesine with which it will lend a hand to those who work to helping others in the final and saddest moments of life.
"The proceeds from the sale of the well-known polenta carbonèra, that is the one made in copper pans using extra virgin olive oil from the lake and three distinct Malga del Baldo cheeses, will be donated to this association." explained the president of A Smile in Solidarity, Martina Gasparini. "Everything will be used to purchase a medical device needed by the association's health workers to bring relief to the sick."
"The initiative is scheduled from 10 to 13.30 and will ensure compliance with all safety regulations", they assured from the high lake.
To avoid gatherings, "two distribution points for polenta carbonèra will be set up: one in the former Pariani kindergarten and one in the public gardens behind the town hall".
"There will be the possibility to book home delivery, made by our volunteers. Thanks go to the councilor for social work of Malcesine, Livio Concini and the Tennis Club Malcesine and Cassone, who contributed to the realization of the initiative", concluded Gasparini. "The work that Amo Garda-Baldo carries out in our territory is important and precious", they reiterated from the town hall, "and it seemed only right to favor those who commit themselves with such dedication to the care of others with as much professionalism and humanity as Amo".
